January = ZERO
Today's Scripture:
1 Timothy 6:7 KJV
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
THOUGHT
Understanding the power of zero is important. Another way to look at it is to reset to factory default settings. When there are issues with an appliance, device or something, and we can't figure it out, we can't find an answer, we can't fix it -we seem to go FIND the instructions that came with the item (when we first got it) and read them again (if we haven't thrown them out. If we have Google or look up information on the item. We look up the same info that came with it that we threw away because we said, “I got this”; “I know what I'm doing”; “I don't need to read this”;...hmmn...)...
When there is an issue we seem to go to the HELP button and press that to see what others have done. When there is an issue we go to CONTACT US to get a number to call to get the help desk and let them know what is going on so they can provide a solution... A lot of times they will say refresh or reset your device- Right?
God is saying the same thing to us- REFRESH and RESET yourSELF. God is saying REFRESH with Me... REFRESH in Me....REFRESH TO Me.
God is saying reset yourself in a way that you are directed to Him and Him only...
REVIEW
The scripture says- 'for we brought nothing into the world' meaning we came with nothing... empty.... void...Things were added along the way...
Come back to zero... come back to nothing... empty out all of that stuff that has been put in that is doing no good thing to or for you... empty out that stuff that is damaging you... empty out that stuff that is contaminating you. Empty out that stuff. Use the instructions to reset...Use the instructions to refresh...
READ the instructions ... the instructions have not changed. They are consistent and constant. USE THEM. That is what they are there for.
REFLECTION
ZERO...NOTHING...NADA...
it's a great place to be in, with, and before God. When we come that way to Him we are saying, 'God add what You will so that I can and will fulfill Your will for my life that You have given me'.
APPLICATION
We ALWAYS NEED INSTRUCTION...At some point or another we need help, direction and guidance from the instruction manual...Get it.... Find it... Use it... Follow it... Follow the instructions AS WRITTEN. There is PURPOSE to that
