JUNE= Action
Today's Scripture: Nehemiah 4:17 KJV
They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.
Protecting while building ...
Nehemiah was a man of action. His concern for the welfare of Jerusalem and it's inhabitants prompts him to take bold action...He went home and challenged his people to rebuild the shattered wall of Jerusalem.... (Their strength was shattered... Their protection was shattered. It left them vulnerable and defenseless...Its time to build our strength back up) He took bold action to get something done at home...
Verse 13-14 say: Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
Action is being taken to build and protect. Action is being taken to protect and build. NOT DESTROY...Build.
Build ourselves. Build our families. Build our communities. Build our resources. Build... Not destroy. Together. We protect and we build. One hand building up/rebuilding/ repairing... The other hand prepared to protect. PREPARED to protect.
REVIEW: They were upset - the natives. They were upset... They were burdened. They were bogged down with the cares of life that were occurring. With all of that/ while all of that was going on THEY listened to the one who came home to lead in the build. Leadership... Strength...Direction....Order... Their feelings were not dismissed. Their feelings and sentiments were redirected to energize them to built and protected while feeling so. They built and protected while doing so. While they felt they did- Action... And the Lord was with them… AND The Lord is with us...
ACTION. Constructive action to protect and build... Build our selves, build our families, build the confidence and esteem of our children, build our communities. BUILD... ACTION... Active Action... Not passive .. This is different... This takes different. This result / these results will be different...
SIDEBAR: As you see the Word of God is the same. What others experienced we experience now. We have been provided with examples. We have been provided resources for different. We have been provided resources of hope. As posted/stated yesterday (and updated for today) It's A Lot of Us and WE will do this peacefully... I agree Mr. Terrance Floyd...
PLEASE everyone: Let's pay attention and be part of solutions... Vocal does not mean violent... Vocal does not have to mean and result to violence... WE ARE BETTER...Our people, Our culture, Our heritage, Our history... We are better... We deserve better...Actions.
